Kutluer performs Vivaldi’s six concertos this evening, creating a flute marathon.
In the concert, the works of Vivaldi, the Venetian composer from Venice, the city of lovers, which bring happiness and joy to people, come to life with Kutluer’s magical flute. Kutluer, who has given concerts in countless countries across five continents, is performing Vivaldi’s works for art lovers in Ankara. Known as the “magical flute” after the headline of a New York Times article following her concert at Carnegie Hall, Kutluer will bring pleasant breezes from the city of love, Venice, to the audience with her perfect musicality as she plays Vivaldi’s six concertos.

Honored with the “ITALIAN STATE MEDAL” by the President of Italy for her contributions to Italian music, Kutluer has performed the first renditions of many Italian composers’ works, as well as concert and CD recordings. Kutluer has won the admiration of international music circles with her interpretation of Italian music. Among the 17 albums recorded by the Magic Flute Şefika Kutluer, which have topped the charts, the VIVALDI album she recorded with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra has also received very positive reviews.
INTERNATIONAL ŞEFİKA KUTLUER FESTIVAL CELEBRATES ITS 16TH ANNIVERSARY
Having performed numerous concerts in renowned concert halls across five continents and released 17 CDs worldwide, Şefika Kutluer is one of the most prominent classical musicians in Türkiye.
She has been decorated with: State Golden Medal – by the President of Italy, “Austrian Gold Medal of Merit” by the President of Austria, the “Cultural Medal” of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Slovak Republic’s special award – the “Golden Medal of Honour”. And she is a “Goodwill Ambassador of UNICEF”.
She was awarded the Presidential Medal in Turkey in 1985, the highest honor that country bestows on an individual. In 1998, she became a “State Artist.”
Sefika Kutluer has released 17 albums, including recordings with the Berlin Philharmonic and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of the United Kingdom. Her CDs are distributed worldwide, and reviewers and music lovers highly praise her discography.
Sony has awarded her the Carmen Fantasy CD, with a “GOLDEN CD PRIZE”.
The American Record Guide reviewers have chosen her “Bach Sonatas” CD as one of the best CDs of the year.
She also received the “GALLO GOLDEN CD COLLECTION” award from Gallo International, based in Switzerland, and her 17 CDs are published with this label.
She is known as the “Magic Flute” after the headline the New York Times’ critics wrote.
She received the “Golden Bravo Award” as the “Best Classical Performer, in Russia at the Bolshoi Theatre. And she performed with the Bolshoi Theatre Symphony Orchestra.
The 16th edition of the International Sefika Kutluer festival, organized by state artist Sefika Kutluer and themed East Meets West, starts on November 16, 2025, at the Blue Hall of CSO ADA Ankara.
For 16 years, including the pandemic years, the International Şefika Kutluer Festival has continued without interruption, becoming institutionalized and attracting the interest of art lovers. Şefika Kutluer, who both organizes the festival and is the soloist in the concerts, has been using the relationships she has built internationally over the years to bring artists, orchestras, and conductors from many countries to our country.
The “International Şefika Kutluer Festival,” which began in Ankara in 2010 and expanded to different cities in Anatolia in subsequent years, has featured colorful performances, exhibitions, and presentations by many artists from Germany to Russia, China to Mexico, Korea to Greece, Austria to the USA, Portugal to Luxembourg, from Khakassia to Slovenia, from Serbia to the Czech Republic, from Kosovo to Kazakhstan, from Switzerland to Montenegro, from Poland to Lithuania, from the United Kingdom to France, from Albania to Israel, and to Spain.
The International Şefika Kutluer Festival was selected as the winner in the “Best Festival” category at the “Ace of MICE Awards 2020,” which is considered the Oscars of the events industry.
This year’s festival, held in the Blue Hall of the CSO ADA Ankara, is featuring programs of great interest to art lovers in Ankara.
