The 7th edition of the festival that is organized on the name of internationally acclaimed flutist named as “the Magic Flute” will be held between the 2nd and 20th of December 2016 in Istanbul and Ankara.

On 20th of December at the Zorlu PSM in Istanbul, the festival ends with an unusual and stunning concert.

Şefika Kutluer and Bilkent Strings Orchestra under the baton of Peter Breiner start the concert with the lyrics of John Lennon’s “Imagine’ .

Then; Şefika Kutluer; plays Peter Breiner’s baroque style arrangements of the unforgettable pop melodies of “Beatles” and “Elvis Presley”, which have become “classics” over the years. Peter Breiner, coming from New York, will conduct the Bilkent Strings Orchestra and play the cembalo as well.

Peter Breiner is one of the world’s most recorded musicians, with over 200 CDs released and millions of units sold – both as albums or online streams/downloads. Known as a conductor, pianist, arranger and composer he has conducted, often doubling as a pianist many important orchestras worldwide.

Some of his most acclaimed recordings include Beatles Go Baroque (over quarter of million CDs sold worldwide) and Elvis Goes Baroque representing the collections of his commercially most successful Baroque arrangements together with Christmas Goes Baroque 1 and 2 His arrangements of national anthems of all participating countries were used during the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004 and illegally in Beijing in 2008.  He recorded his own arrangements of the anthems of the participating countries of the Rugby World Cup 2011 and a new 10 CD set of the National Anthems of the World for Naxos to coincide with the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

At Breiner’s  “Beatles Concerto Grosso No.2” listening to the Beatles’ “A Hard Day’s Night”, “Girl”,  “And I Love Her”, Paperback Writer” and “Help”  you will hear Vivaldi’s “4 seasons concertos”.

At Breiner’s “Beatles Concerto Grosso No.3” with the connotation of J.S. Bach’s Flute Suit No. 2 , Beatles’ hit songs; “The Long and Winding Road”, “Eight Days a Week”, “She is Leaving Home”, “We can Work It Out”, “Hey Jude” and “Yellow Submarine” are performed in Baroque style.

The concert continues with “Flute Concerto Grosso No.2” as a journey to the Peter Breiner’s baroque arrangements of Elvis Presley’s unforgettable songs , Jailhouse-Rock, Blue Moon, Let It Be Me, Put the Blame On Me, Mean Woman Blues, You Are the Devil in Disguise, You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me, Stuck on You, Love Me Tender and Wooden Heart.
